Description
Some fabrics are so beautiful they almost compete with themselves. That was exactly the challenge with Benartex’s Blooming Color Harmony collection — rich, intricate prints in coral, gold, and teal that each deserved their moment in the spotlight.
The solution was a fresh twist on the Quarter Log Cabin block. The structure was already there — that satisfying spiral of strips building outward from a center square. But between each fabric round, I added a thin solid strip to give your eye a little breathing room. A quiet pause between the storytellers. It keeps the layers from muddling together and lets each print shine exactly as it should.
The result is a quilt that reads as both modern and timeless — bold color blocking with the soul of a classic block. The three colorways drift diagonally across the throw from coral to gold to teal, creating a gentle color wash that feels effortless even though every strip was deliberate.
Beginner construction. Stunning results. Your cutting mat will work hard and your finished quilt will show every bit of it.
