This quilt is inspired by art history!
This poppy panel is reminiscent of the pointillist painting by Van Gogh, called Starry Night. Pointillism morphed into cubism. And cubism is similar to pixel quilts.
Since the painted is a play on Starry Night, I made the border a spin-off of cubism! Thus, the pixelated border.
