Classes

Classes are offered either via Zoom or on demand. Zoom classes are led by an instructor and recorded so you don’t miss a thing. On demand classes are pre-recorded classes, which usually have a study hall or other option to interact with the instructor at set times.

Applismith block (3-hour workshop)

Transform your quilts with this three-dimensional fusible applique technique. During this 3-hour class, you will learn to

  • Quilt the background,
  • Make the templates and appliques,
  • Attach the appliques, and
  • Embellish the mini quilt to make it really pop.

There are a variety of patterns to choose from. Pick the pattern that fits your style, skill level and/or intricacy. Once you learn the technique, join us for some fun with larger projects.

Kits are available, which include all the materials except thread for sewing/quilting. Embellishment packs are also available.

Stitching Whimsy – Wheels without Curves (On Demand)

Select a pattern from our Whimsy collection and learn how to make this signature style quilt without curved piecing. This class is offered on demand. The first few sessions reveal the secret of piecing the center medallion. The later session cover the addition of fusible applique to add character to the quilt. The finished quilt measures 48″ square, which is perfect for a wall hanging or table topper.

Trust Yourself with Color (3-hour Class)

Poinsettia Runner (Zoom Class or On Demand)

This incredible course will teach you how to elevate your quilting skills in six lessons. The lessons are provided one per week to ensure you have time to complete each step. At the end of the course, you will have a completed elegant runner. The runner uses the Applismith technique, a unique fusible applique technique, quilt as you go, thread painting, and beading to create this elegant runner. Course includes the pattern.
