Description
Storm Surge is a variation on the traditional Storm Signal block, redesigned to create a more interesting secondary pattern when the blocks are set together.
The quilt is arranged in rows with a gradual shift in color from one row to the next, meant to resemble waves rolling across the surface of the sea. As the blocks come together, the secondary design reads like whitecaps breaking through darker water. Built from simple triangles and repeated units, Storm Surge is a confident-beginner throw that delivers strong visual impact while keeping the construction familiar and manageable.
