It’s funny, I’ve always lived around horses, but I never owned one. My grandfather did, and so did my aunts and uncles. Mom couldn’t manage horses of our own, so my sister and I rode only occasionally, not like my cousins did.
My sons often commented that every time we moved, it was near another horse farm. I don’t think they realize that even when I was little, most of the farmers still kept horses. They were part of our lives for so long.
This generation doesn’t really interact with them much, and it’s a shame they miss out on the bonds people form with horses.
This quilt gives the herd its due. A thundering panel of running horses takes center stage, corralled by bold borders and corner blocks that let the print kick up all the dust. Choose the larger size for the bed or the smaller one for the sofa.
