Description
There was a downspout on my mother’s front porch, right by the front door. Right where it drained, she always kept a patch of primroses. Every color you could imagine, and they seemed to bloom year-round. I asked her once why they were so happy. I’d never had any luck growing them myself. She told me they loved the water, even the little bit of dew that ran off that downspout. My mother had an incredible green thumb.
Her favorite color was blue, just like this quilt. And as a quilter, she loved perfect points. This one’s for her.
