Description
One of my favorite things to do is hiking in the woods. I love the smell of the pines and moldering leaves. I like the sounds of the crunch leaves and cracking twigs. I enjoy with solitude and the time to be grounded.
When I close my eyes, I most remember the dappling of the sun through the trees. The way the light peaks through in small rays. That point of view inspired this quilt of the same name “Point of View.”
When Banyan provided these beautiful fabrics from their Scenic Setting collection, they were perfect for this quilt. With so many beautiful batiks to choose from, it was difficult to pick just one. So I didn’t! The larger prints are showcased in the solid rows. Meanwhile the Diamond in Square blocks provide a neat transition between the rows. The colors almost ripple between them.
