Description
Here’s a little puzzle for you: can you find where one block ends and the next begins?
Poinsettia & Pine is built from just two foundation-pieced blocks — a Pineapple block and an Illinois Star — but when they come together, the secondary design takes over completely. The teal and aqua batiks from Banyan Batiks’ Monstera Deliciosa collection flow across the surface like the pattern was woven, not pieced. It’s the kind of quilt that makes people lean in and look closer.
And yes, the name is a hint. Look for the pine. Then find the poinsettia.
This is a reimagined version of one of my earliest designs, and it’s still one of my favorites.
