I’ll be honest: I have never been good at scrappy. Something in my engineering brain rebels the moment a pattern asks me to “just grab whatever’s in your stash.” I want order. I want a plan.
So Budding Binghampton became my compromise — fun and fancy, with a rainbow of twenty different teals from Hoffman’s Mermaid Lagoon collection scattered across pinwheel blocks, but every pinwheel is made from a single fabric, set against crisp vanilla and black. Scrappy, but with guardrails. Color chaos, but every block still behaves.
