On Day 8 of the Bling Tree, I decided to add a little more variety. The start was basically the same with a large button. A metallic bead filigree and pearl bead were added to hide the button threads.
Then, I took a little piece of metallic ribbon and created a ring to place around the button. In each loop of the ribbon, I threaded a pearl bead. Like the gold beads added earlier, each bead was added by securing it to the bead before it. When you add a bead, start by threading through the previous bead first. That way each bead is tied to the one before it. As with all of the other threads, they are finished by knotting and burying the knot in the batting.
