On Day 3 of the Bling Tree, I started with another four-hole button, again a little larger. The button was secured with matching thread. Each time, I ensure the threads are buried in the batting so the backing stays clean. This time, I hid the securing stitches with a gold sequin and seed bead combination. When using sequins, you will need a bead to secure it.

I added a ring of alternating gold seed beads and pink seed beads, using matching ivory thread. When finished, I buried the knot in the batting. This is another simple addition. Each addition is getting a little larger and/or more complicated as I go.

How are you doing on your Bling Tree?

I would love to see your second ornament. Post an image with #blingtree
