On Day 11 of the Bling Tree, I made a variation of Day 5. A four-holed button was added. Then, I pulled the thread up through a buttonhole, added two pink seed beads and pulled the thread down through the next hole. I repeated it on the other side of the button. This put two lines of two beads on top. I pulled the thread back up through the first buttonhole and then through the first set of beads. I added two more beads to fill the gap. Then, pulled the thread through the next set of two beads. I added two more beads to fill the gap. This made a circlet of eight beads on top of the button. I brought the thread back through a hole.

The embellishment then needed a little more on the circumference of the button. I made a circle of pink seed beads. To that circle, I added picot stitches with a gold seed bead, faux pearl, and gold seed bead. To ensure the picots work out correctly, I added the seed beads in sets of three. Finish by threading through the first bead, knot the thread and bury it in the batting.

I would love to see your ornaments. Post an image with #blingtree
