Description
A little spooky. A little sparkly. And definitely not flat.
Witch’s Whim takes some of the playful spirit of my larger Witch’s Whimsy quilt and turns it into a smaller project with plenty of room to make it your own.
Start with the design, then PLAY.
Add a dimensional cat with a 3-D head and tail. Let a little bat and spider escape from the surface. Couch yarn for extra texture. Build a spiderweb. Add specialty stitching, buttons, beads—or whatever happens to wander out of your embellishment drawer.
And those leaves? They use my Applismith™ technique, with dimensional appliqué that is secured to the quilt while the edges remain free to lift away from the surface.
Make yours delightfully spooky, wonderfully whimsical, or gloriously over-embellished. The pattern gives you the framework. What happens after that is entirely up to you.
Witch’s Whim is a digital PDF pattern.
