My mom and dad met in the church choir, and they passed that love of music straight down to me. I sang in one myself for years, eventually becoming a cantor. One of my favorite hymns has always been “Make Me a Channel of Your Peace,” better known as the Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi. The doves scattered across this fabric take me right back to all those hours I spent singing.
This log cabin quilt carries that same sense of peace. Soft blues, blush pinks, and sage greens crisscross in a modern diamond lattice, with doves drifting quietly through, a gentle nod to something a little bigger than the quilt itself.
