Description
My youngest son was enamored with trains. Thomas the Tank Engine characters rolled through the house, the car, and under the church pews. He’d exclaim “Mommy, train!” and I wouldn’t hear a thing, so I’d say “Nope.” Sure enough, thirty seconds later, I’d hear the darned thing. Some people are dog whisperers. He was a train whisperer. Along the way, we learned about all the elements of the old and new railways: roundhouses, hump yards, water towers, coal cars, cabooses, and yes, turnstiles.
This quilt keeps that playful momentum going. Blocks spin around one another like a turnstile in motion, set among sweet train-print fabrics in soft yellows and grays. It’s a cheerful ride from start to finish.
