Description
Rainbow Sherbet was the treat of summer afternoons when I was growing up. There was always plenty of orange and lemon — but what I really wanted was the pink. Raspberry? Strawberry? I never quite knew, but it was the one worth digging for. My dad had his eye on the lime. My sister was a devoted lemon fan. And my mom, bless her, kept the portions perfectly reasonable — which was probably wise, because looking back, that much sugar on a hot afternoon was a lot for a kid to handle.
Those small moments — the sticky sweetness, the cold bowl, the summer light — that’s the magic this quilt is made of. Soft pastels drifting from lavender and blue at the top through aqua and teal, settling into warm yellow and pink at the bottom. Log Cabin blocks build each colorway from the inside out, framed in the softest checkerboard you’ve ever seen.
This is the gentle sister to Rainbow Sherbet — same structure, completely different mood. Where Rainbow Sherbet announces itself, this one just makes you smile.
