I grew up in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, and some of my best childhood memories involve a bike ride to Cincinnati Creek. We’d cross a state route and four lanes of traffic without a second thought — the only thing that mattered was getting to the dirt road and the white water on the other side. It was always peaceful there, no matter how chaotic the ride to get there had been.
That’s the feeling I chased with Serenity Springs. The panel was beautiful, but it wasn’t wide enough to capture the whole vista — so I extended the scene with coordinating running yardage on both sides, widening the view until it felt like you could step right into the woods and follow the water. A simple striped border and a deep green outer frame let the scene do all the talking.
