What a great pattern. I’m in love with him even more now that I’ve made him. I chose fall colors and a mix of quilting cottons and batiks for my Old Man of the Forest. He is awesome! The templates and figures were super helpful in putting the fusible applique together. I’ve not done such a challenging applique piece before, but the instructions were very clear on how to make him come alive. Great challenge for a confident beginner. Friends who are fans of Lord of the Rings (as am I) think he reminds them of the Ents in those stories (I agree).
