Description
As a kid, I built with everything I could get my hands on — Legos, Lincoln Logs, blocks, sand, sticks in the woods. It didn’t matter what the material was. What I learned early was that a good base makes all the difference.
Log Cabin blocks in quilting are much the same. They look simple — and they are — but take care to keep them square, because every round builds on the last. Get that foundation right and the rest just falls into place.
Building Code takes the classic Log Cabin and gives it a quarter-turn twist, arranging gradient blocks in two colorways — warm toffee and cool aqua — so the color flows across the quilt like light shifting through a room. The result looks far more complex than a beginner pattern has any right to be.
Good bones. Beautiful finish.
