As the weather gets colder, I like having something bright and cheerful in my day. Anthology’s Lost in Time Collection provided just that kind of cheerful in fabric form.
When I get bold fabric like this, I want to use it to get the maximum effect. That meant the purple and yellow would be the stars of the show, with the pinks and whites filling in the spaces in between.
I liked the idea of tweaking a traditional block. It went well with the collection’s name. The simple patches were framed in pink. Then, they were framed again in purple. Kind of like our memories, colored and recolored over time. The purple frame was inverted on the two blocks. One has the flying geese facing out, the other in. Looking forward and looking back.
