I have been busy making more trees!!
The fusible applique is the basis for these lovely little trees. The applique is secured with a little stitching.
Then, I added a little quilting around the block. I kept the quilting simple – just straight lines an inch apart. And an echo of the tree.
Take a little gimp, lace, ribbon or rick rack for the garland. This is secured with a straight stitch for rick rack or zigzag stitch for ribbons.
Bind the quilt before you add the rest of your ornaments! You can even use some fun stitches for the binding. It adds a special touch.
Of course, a tree needs a little more decorating. Some beads are a good addition. Step it up a little with sequins and beads!
Top the tree with more beads or some filigree!
