On Day 4 of the Bling Tree, I started with a four-holed button using matching thread. Then, using the same thread, I brought the needle up through one hole and threaded a pink seed bead on and pushed the needle down through the next hole. Alternating, I added three more beads. There were pink seed beads, one between each hole.

Using gold metallic thread, I made three stitches going from each hole to the edge of the button. Each time, I buried the thread into the batting. This made a total of twelve threads around the edge of the button, like the spokes of a wheel. Then, I wove the gold thread through each spoke, over and under, to make three rounds. After the third round, I knotted and buried the knot in the batting.

With light pink 12 wt thread (essentially 2 strands of embroidery floss), I one french knot to align with each gold spoke. When finished, I buried the knot in the batting. This is a very simple addition.

I would love to see your fourth ornament. Post an image with #blingtree
