Introducing Father Time: Ringing Out the Year, One Stitch at a Time

This week I get to do one of my favorite things in my holiday prep…
I pull out my nutcracker collection.

Not the digital ones — the real ones.
All 50+ of them. (Yes, I’m still collecting. No, I’m not stopping. Yes, they bring me ridiculous joy.)

So, it feels perfectly fitting that this month’s Quilt Block Mania theme is New Year’s, and I get to share the final nutcracker in this year’s series — Father Time.

He’s a little wise, a little whimsical, and completely ready to close out the year with his long beard, classic hourglass, and trusty scythe. Think of him as the storyteller of the group — the one who’s seen it all and is still smiling about it.

If you’ve been collecting all twelve blocks, this one completes the set (at least for now). I’ll still be adding more nutcrackers to my personal collection… so you never know what the future may bring.
