Growing up in the North Country, I appreciate a night sky that doesn’t have the halo lights from a city. You can see the sky and all the stars so clearly.
My dad taught me some of the stars and constellations. The first one, of course, was the North Star. It is easy to find the others once you locate it.
This beautiful panel from Northcott’s Illumination collection reminded me of those beautiful skies. Being able to see the stars so clearly.
I wanted to design a frame for this panel that reflected those bright stars. The result is North Star. The large stars compliment rather than compete with the panel. The subtle chains represent the distant stars you can only see when the sky isn’t contaminated by city lights.
I hope you will enjoy North Star too!
