Palmetto Pines

Dresden plate designs had always fascinated me. But as usual, I couldn’t quite stick to the norm. Rather than a scrappy or bicolor design, I decided to stretch and use a color gradient. Of course, this meant I had to keep track of fabrics a bit more closely and keep my right and left sorted properly. This is a little tricky when you are right/left challenged.

The resulting design really satisfied me. The finished top did not disappoint. Next, I have to quilt it. Of course, that means moving the stack of quilt tops literally sitting on my longarm, waiting their turn.

I liked the design so much, I published the pattern! You can find it in either my Etsy Shop or my eCommerce site. It is also being distributed by QuiltWoman. So there are plenty of options for purchase.

Now, I am hooked on Dresden…. my next design Purple Craze (not Purple Haze), will be out soon!

Happy Quilting
