My boys, even now as adults, can watch the Pirates of the Caribbean movies over and over again. Jack Sparrow and his mates were and are a staple of our lives. That love of sea lore, even the movie version, inspired this quilt design.
Ahoy Mate is a nautical quilting adventure that uses some traditional quilt blocks to pique your interest: Dewey’s Victory, Ship of Dreams, Lost Ship, and Striped Triangle. The on-point layout, simple quadruple border and traditional piecing make it that much more fun! With four primary blocks and a few borders to assemble, this quilt is great for a Quilt Along!
This quilt measures 70″ x 70″ and features Dear Stella’s fabric collection “Bootylicious.” This amusing fabric has plenty for your quilting adventure: sharks, octopi, mermaids, flamingos, sailors, seaweed, and pirate treasure maps. The fabric collection is due for shipment in December 2020.
