For those of you who have read some of my earlier posts, you know that I have been taking classes to earn my APQS Longarm Quilting Certification. It was an intensive, informative, challenging and rewarding 14 week program. The lessons started with the basics of tension in quilting (thread tension, not my tension) and worked through business planning. As a result, I created 6 quilts for charity and a few others. It was an amazing experience.

All of that hard work came to fruition today – I received my certification!

I firmly believe that education is a lifelong journey and I invest in mine. My next step is to master the EQ8 software that I use to design my quilts so I am taking Tech Know Quilter classes from Kari Schell of On Point Quilters.

Happy Quilting!

Laureen
